Laser Hair Removal - is it for you?

LASER HAIR REMOVAL FROM HOME!?!?

When I first saw the price on this Laser Hair Removing Device I was baffled, why spend that much when razors are so much less, plus its not like shaving was that much of a pain to deal with everyday. However, after thinking more and more about it I really wasn't too fond of shaving. The time it takes in the shower, not just the time but the water it uses, the potential nics or cuts I may get especially in those sensitive bikini areas are just the worst. The razor bumps I may get afterwards, regardless of what product I've used to specifically NOT get them they seem to still pop up anyways. And then the cost of the razors....
Sure $17.99 every month to 2 months really isn't THAT much but then when you add that up for the year that's $108 a year just on razors and that's if you're able to make a 4pack last 2 full months, most of us cannot do that.  If you're buying a 4pack every month you're looking at $216 a year. The laser device was starting to look better and better.
The after researching the Tria Laser 4x I realized just how amazing this baby is.  It has been awarded by InStyle as a "Best Beauty Buy", plus it is the first FDA-cleared laser available for home use! Another point in the pro column.  Also, this device uses the same diode laser technology preferred by dermatologists to target and permanently disable the hair follicle for permanent results. A Laser that doctors use but in the privacy and comfort of my own? Yes, please!
Then I went back to the cost of this thing, $549 shipped to me. Ugh, why so much?!? Then I realized, I am going to save money on the cost of the extra water I had been using just to shave, no need to worry about buying shaving creams, razor bump help products, and best of all no need to buy RAZORS! That alone will save me at the very least $200 in my first year. That is about 40% of the cost of this laser. And my savings on razors and all the other necessities that come into shaving will roll onto the next year and the year after that....And so on.
In my eyes, TOTALLY worth it!  Everyone that I have talked to that uses it loves it as well.  So get yours and start saving today.

Keep Yourself Looking Hot While Hungover

Keep Yourself Looking Hot While Hungover

With the weekend coming upon us I felt like this information may be quite helpful to some of us.  In fact, I have a feeling I will be putting my own advice to good use this weekend as I will be in Vegas all weekend trying to enjoy whats left of my summer. Hopefully I'll remember to stay hydrated and drink as much water as I can to avoid feeling nasty the next morning. By the way, a very good tip to help avoid dehydration eat the ice in your drinks.  Trust me you'll thank yourself the next day.

For those of you waking up in the morning after a raging night with a pounding headache, feeling sluggish and you smell like you brought the bar home with you (which is just all bad news). And then on top of that you have to actually leave your comfy bed and be seen by people I feel your pain, been there enough times to feel sympathy for anyone in that state.
Just a quick glance at you anyone can easily tell how rough of a morning you are having.  There are a few secrets from the pros that I've found that will allow you to look fabulous, even though you feel quite the opposite.

Lets start.
First off, if you have the energy and the time, please take a shower. It will help more than you think.  Regardless of the shower or not we muct tend to your face.  Use a scrub now.  It will lift the makeup and the dirt, then follow with a face cleanser.  And be sure to use a cooler rinse to help calm your skin a bit, it had a rough night.  Our favorites for these steps are:
           1. Neutrogena Foaming Wash
           2. Clean and Clear Morning Burst Detoxyifying Facial Cleanser , msrp $7

Next, the 4 major problems.  Redness, Under-eye circles, dry skin & bloodshot eyes.
For those of you that do not know, booze causes blood vessels to dilate, hence the redness.  Crappy sleep and dehydration that the liquor causes is why you have dry skin and your eyes look their worst they've ever been.  Our favorite items to help with these are:
          1. It Cosmetics Bye Bye Under Eye Concealer in neutral
          2. Stila Kajal Eye Liner in Topaz
          3. Dr Jart+ Smart Gel BB Cream

After you've dealt with the base of the problems, next we have eye issues.
The upper eye-lid is extra thin so it can cause the redness to show a little more than in other parts of the face.  The best way to eliminate that is with neutral shadow, maybe even one that has a little shimmer in it to help reflect light.  Along with on the top of the lash line use a navy liner and your mascara should be blueish-black as blue undertones help with brightening the eyes. Our favorite products to help with this are:
      1. Eyeko Black Magic Mascara in MIdnight Blue
      2. BareMinerals Vanilla Sugar EyeShadow
      3. L'Oreal Hip Kohl Liner in Navy

Last thing to do before your on your way...
A nice soft color pink blush along the cheekbones  helps fake like you've slept great the night before. And then a nice bold lipstick to bring attention to your luscious lips and away from the problem areas.  Our favorite products:
      1. Maybelline New York Dream Bouncy Blush in Pink Frosting
      2. Covergirl Lip Perfection Lipstick in Flame

Hopefully with these tips you will manage to get through your day without anyone being the wiser to how you're actually feeling.   Make sure you drink plenty of water and get as much sleep as you can the next night!

All about WysAdvice

Welcome to WysAdvice!

Hi There! My name is Jacquelyn and I am the owner of WysAdvice.  (For those of you that have absolutely no idea how to pronounce the name of the company, its pronounced "wise advice".) Just a little info about myself, I've been working in the beauty & health industry for over 12 years now. I co-own a beauty supply store however I decided to move onto bigger and better things. Although I love what I do I wanted to be able to be able to pass on some of my knowledge along with being able to show you all of the amazing products that I have access to that most of you do not know about.
Along with all of that my main passion; to help my clients find the the best Beauty, Health & Fitness products out there so that you can be YOU.  Being comfortable and happy with who you are and what you look like is a very important thing in life.  Now, I'm not saying you have to look like a Victoria's Secret Model or Brad Pitt in order to be happy.  I personally am far from the body of a Victoria's Secret Model, however I have been able to use the right products, treatments, and advice I've gotten over the years to where I am happy with who I am and what I look like.
With that being said, I've decided to help pass on all that advice to you. I have put together an amazing team that has conducted research on some of my favorite products, gone through as many outside reviews as we can, along with testing them and reviewing them ourselves so that you know as much as you possibly can before you purchase the product.  Not that we don't trust all those commercials & magazines with supermodels and celebrities talking about how great the product is, but sometimes its nice to hear it from people that are just your average joe.

So, go on....be whoever YOU want to be.
